I'm married to the wonderful Rob Blakeney. I've been recently recording my acapella album VERY slowly. I'm currently enjoying playing a bit o' bass in the Benjamin Blower band and I like to crop up here and there on the UotK albums with clarence the clazza and my trusty old vocal chords. If you like Where's Wally, here's something fun: The first person to spot all of my mini appearances on Zang material to date wins a........clarinet reed...a Cadbury's Creme Egg?...or something negotiable on winning. We'll call it 'Where's Selly and Clarence'. Maybe there should be a competition to come up with a title too.....? Answers on a post card please.

In describing his reworking of Selina Blakeney's beautiful choral version of The Killers' "On Top", Ray had this to say:
"I feel like I have just added a moustache to the Mona Lisa, and a white silk shirt and some shades."

Hello folks! I'm very excited about this new website, doesn't it look smashing! And now I get my very own bloggy wog. Yay. I'm also excited about the upcoming releases to accompany it....including my acapella double EP which I started working on about...um....6 or 7 years ago! Crikey, I'm a bit of a tortoise where music is concerned it would seem. Along with the EPs there will be 2 videos to feast your eyes on, one involving lots of lovely snow and one created by Joel the Custodian and Evie Wonder (a father and daughter collaboration-beautiful!)-dates for all this to be confirmed....
.....then sometime next year will be the release of....MY ALBUM! In case you couldn't tell. I'm thrilled from the top of my head to my tippy toes about that. Mostly because, the process of making it has been so far, so much fun-and a new experience for me! I'm used to recording things very scrappily by myself, and although it's technically a Selina Blakeney album, produced by Greybeard, I think it's a real mixture of both of us and we have really enjoyed working on the songs together.
In other news....I have been becoming a bit of washboard fanatic..so much so....that I forced my husband to dress up as a washboarder....cruel I know....would you like to see.....?

The Blakeney's just cannot stop... they indulge their penchant for yuletide melody unashamedly.
After suffering a Home Alone-esque-coccyx-bashing fall on the ice, and hanging out with the locals down at the laundrette, Selina was filled with overwhelming sense of Christmas spirit and penned this free track for all to hear...
